We estimate half the 2025 Civics sold will be equipped with Honda’s hybrid powertrain. Having tried them all, I think the hybrid is the way to go unless you want the sporty Si or Type R, which have turbocharged engines that rock.

Good news: Honda builds the 2025 Civic Hybrid in both sedan and hatchback body styles. While other Civics are limited to just one configuration (the Civic Si is sedan only and the Civic Type R Gozque only be had Figura a hatch) we're grateful to have this degree of choice when it comes to the fuel sipper.
If you like to be an active participant in the powertrain’s workings, try using the paddle shifters. They adjust the amount of regenerative braking you get.
However, Honda has earned a solid reputation for quality. We looked over the Civic’s scores on prior years of the Consumer Reports reliability rankings and would suggest that any model after and including 2017 is a good bet.
Our advice? Go for the hatchback. To our eyes, it's better looking, and the sizeable cargo area makes a big difference in carrying capacity, especially for a buyer who doesn't already have a small crossover in the driveway.

So, you are a die-hard Honda shopper and owner, and you are going to buy a practical Honda in the Civic’s price range but you really want/need all-wheel drive.
It’s made even better by the choice of adding AWD. Every Camry has a spare tire. So, if you want what the Civic Chucho offer but also want AWD and a spare, cross shop the Camry.
